SSANU Begins Nationwide Today Over Unpaid Salaries.

SSANU’s General Secretary, Promise Adesuwa, gave a directive that no member of the union should return to work until directed by the national leadership.
Mr. Adesuwa said the union took the decision after its demand was unattended to, following its letter to university Vice Chancellors, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Pius Anyim; Minster of Labour and Productivity, Emeka Wogu; Minister of Education, Nyesom Wike; and Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission, Julius Okojie.
Already, university lecturers, ASUU, have been on a nationwide strike for three months demanding that the federal government implements a 2009 agreement it had with the union.
