Reduce The Risk of Having Kidney Failure.

Kidney Failure is a medical condition in which the kidneys fail to adequately filter waste products from the blood. With the incidence of kidney failure on the rise, it is important to make certain lifestyle choices and take certain steps that could help prevent it...

  • Don't smoke; nicotine, the narcotic active ingredient in tobacco is a vasoconstrictor, raising blood pressure, stiffening blood vessels and making it harder for the kidney to filter waste.
  • Treat Urinary Tract Infections promptly. If you suspect you have an infection see your doctor.
  • Be sure to take a lot of fluids, mostly water.
  • Obesity both raises blood pressure and increases insulin resistance. Good exercise to maintain a healthy weight means having a moderate blood pressure and that's good for you kidneys.
  • Check and control your cholesterol levels, as too much fatty substance in your blood over works your kidneys.
  • Stress reduction would keep body fluid pressure at a normal level, thereby preventing harm to your kidneys.
