Relief for Diabetes sufferers as New Insulin Inhaler may Replace Injection Shots by 2014

Good news for diabetes patients as Pharmaceutical Company, Mannkind Corp. has announced a new product, inhalable insulin powder called Afrezza. The product has shown very promising results for controlling diabetes in a late-stage clinical trial.
It is taken before a meal with a small inhaler the company calls “Dreamboat,” causing peak insulin levels to be reached in 12 minutes to 14 minutes, matching the insulin release in non-diabetics when they eat.
Diabetes affects a large percentage of the world's population and this may be a great relief for diabetes sufferers as they may no longer have to go endure the discomfort of insulin injections.
