Stuff You Should Know About Your Vagina

A common misconception by so many is that the opening down there, below, in the 'private' area is the vagina; well, technically the vagina is among the 'internal' sex organs together with the womb and ovaries, while the opening down there is called the vulva.
As ladies we always want to keep everything down there fresh, clean and healthy for our men, so here are a few tips on how to get that happy vagina...

  • Use only warm water to wash the vulva, and then dry thoroughly with a clean towel.
  • The vagina has a natural cleansing technology, as it produces those discharges, so avoid using 'vaginal cleansers' or douches, these products may upset the healthy, good bacteria present there.
  • We girls love to put on our leggings and nylon pantyhose because it reveals those nice curves, but it is important to wear along with it cotton panties to absorb the moisture caused as result of the excess heat. The heat trapped there could provide good breeding environment for bad bacteria.
  • Practise safe sex; use a condom to avoid contracting STIs.
  • You should not apply Petroleum based lotions such as vaseline to your 'special' area, as it may cause irritation and yeast infections.
It should be noted that vaginas vary in shape, size and colour and a milky white discharge is indicative of a healthy vagina, just keeping to these tips and paying regular visits to our Gynecologists would assure us of having that healthy and happy vagina.
